STIB Kumala Nusa Produces First Bachelor's Degree Graduates, 58 Graduates Inaugurated

Krjogja.com - YOGYA - The Kumala Nusa College of Business (STIB) held its 23rd Undergraduate and Diploma Program graduation ceremony for the 2024/2025 Academic Year at the Sahid Raya Hotel in Yogyakarta on Saturday (July 26, 2025). Fifty-eight graduates officially graduated during the ceremony, consisting of 44 Diploma Three Management graduates and 14 Bachelor of Retail Management graduates.

The Head of STIB Kumala Nusa, Ir. Edi Cahyono, MM, stated that this graduation ceremony held special significance. This was the first time STIB Kumala Nusa was graduating students from the Bachelor of Retail Management study program. "We express our highest appreciation to the first class of students who entrusted their education to the Bachelor of Retail Management program at this campus," he said.

Edi Cahyono also expressed his gratitude to Anung Pramudyo, SE, MM, the previous head of STIB Kumala Nusa, who was considered to have made significant contributions to the advancement of the campus. "Thanks to his hard work, STIB Kumala Nusa has developed rapidly in terms of accreditation, facilities, and the quality of its lecturers," he said.

The event was also attended by the Pura Kumala Foundation board of directors, including the Foundation's Chairman, Himawan Agung Nugroho, SE, MM, and the Foundation's Advisor, Dr. Purnama Andri Murdapa, MM. Also in attendance was the Head of the Higher Education Service Institution (LLDikti) Region V Yogyakarta, Prof. Setyabudi Indarto, MM, PhD.

In his remarks, Edi conveyed several important messages to the graduates for entering the professional world. He emphasized the importance of good communication skills, updating knowledge and skills, especially in technology, and developing a resilient and honest character. "Perseverance, never giving up, and a close relationship with the Creator will be the keys to success," he added.

The Head of LLDikti Region V Yogyakarta, Prof. Setyabudi Indarto, MM, PhD, also delivered remarks. On behalf of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, he congratulated the graduates on completing their education. "Graduation is not the end, but the beginning of a new chapter in creating works," he said.

Furthermore, Prof. Setyabudi Indarto also expressed his high appreciation to STIB Kumala Nusa for its excellent implementation of its Tri Dharma (three pillars of higher education), including holding a graduation ceremony and producing 58 graduates. He also emphasized the importance of upholding the good name of the alma mater.
